Said the following about Alison Sweeney:

“Alison was the Team Leader on the day a young girl on the platform was acting suspiciously. She was pacing the platforms for a few minutes when no trains was passing. She then dropped her bag behind a post and started to walk towards the end of the platform. Alison was around 500 yards away from the girl and alerted her colleague to support her with this potential suicide, she got Natalie to race out from the office as she realised a train was about to pass, she ran the opposite direction to alert the oncoming train to slow down, raising her hands to the oncoming train, Natalie ran towards the young girl shouting to her to step back away from the platform edge as the train approached. She got to her before the train (now slowed down considerably) got close. For me she did a fantastic job with preventing a potential suicide. Alison spent the next 60 minutes looking after the young girl who had a few personal difficulties, and did the chain of care until BTP and medical teams come onto the scene. Alison did such an amazing job, not only preventing a suicide but spending time with her afterwards in support of her needs. I had Sean Morgan on the phone to me the next day suggesting he would be putting in a Commend Recommendation with his Chief Inspector for potentially saving this girls life.“
