Said the following about Alison Smith:

“I am nominating Alison Smith as Rail Manager of the year for going above and beyond in everything she does. As a driver over the 12 months I have had numerous issues, that were out of my control and Alison has always done everything she can to accommodate me, to rectify a situation or even to just lend a helping hand. She has been available to contact at nearly any time of the day whether she is working or not. After a severe accident at work left me with a damaged spine she has arranged private healthcare to ensure I can get back to work as quickly as possible, and to ensure my health and well being were put first. I have had a member of my family decide to end their life, and Alison was there, not just as a manager but someone I could talk to and turn to. Recently I have been the subject of two separate anaphylactic shock incidents and Alison again, went above and beyond. She accompanied me to the hospital, to the pharmacy and then all the way back to my house and back to her place work to ensure I made it home safely and that any further allergic reactions were dealt with. She honestly always goes above and beyond in everything she does, and I believe she should be recognised for all of her efforts. Not only does she show extremely good leadership skills, but also people skills and the ability to work well in any situation. It has been an extremely difficult 12 months but Alison has done everything she can do and so much more to ensure my health, my wellbeing and my ability to work. She is a credit as a manager and to the company.“
