“As a shining example of amazing customer service, Sarah is renowned on her platforms at Carlisle for leaving customers impressed with the brand she represents. She is inquisitive, caring and forms genuine relationships with the customers she looks after with many writing in to VT customer services to praise her performance on a regular basis. A couple of examples include:

"I have a very excited 2 year old son that loves trains. He has been to Carlisle station twice this week with his Grandad to see the trains. Both times they have come across Sarah on the platform. She is brilliant with him and really takes the time to talk to him and explain where the trains are coming from and going. My son's Grandad says she is really lovely with him and goes above and beyond to make a child very happy! Great work Sarah! Wish there was more people like you around. I think my son has made a friend for life! Thank you"

"As the trains came in she lifted spirits with a personal touch for each traveller, a joke, or good wish and a great sincere smile. Sarah was a fantastic ambassador for the values and approach that Virgin is renowned for. She stood way above not only other staff, but having travelled frequently over many many years, here and abroad, as one of the best examples I have seen of dedicated customer service. I wish there were more like Sarah at other UK stations, airports, shopping centres... I would like to also say Thank you for her help"
