“Driving Awareness and Inclusion at GTR
Polly is one of our Operations Learning Managers and has a really important role in training and developing our new drivers. In addition to her day job Polly continues to champion diversity and inclusion at our company. She takes time out (even though she is working all hours) to help support this agenda and this was particularly evident when she actively ran her body confidence workshop at the Inclusion and Diversity event on the 19th June 2018. This was hugely important for our company as it was the first of its kind for Group, partnered very closely with Brighton and Hove, and Polly helped to support an agenda that is so important for driving value for our people at GTR.
Taking part in this event took Polly out of her already challenging day to day requirements, meant that she had to step up and inspire people from various operation companies. She received excellent feedback for the session which was a great achievement in itself.
We think it’s important to recognise Polly’s individual contribution in trying to drive awareness and support inclusion at GTR. Not many people do and we need more people like Polly to share their passion and commitment for this important business agenda.“
