Leading railway infrastructure services provider Amey – which is delivering major programmes of work for key customer Network Rail throughout the UK – is proud to sponsor the Rail Engineer of the Year category at this year’s RailStaff Awards.
The company provides an innovative end-to-end service – from examinations and assessment to design, renewals and enhancement of all of the key assets that make up the UK rail network.
Amey has secured a number of major framework contracts with Network Rail including national Civil Examination and Multi Asset Framework Agreements (CEFA & MAFA) and is the UK’s largest track renewals specialists, including operation of all High Output plant.
Amey is committed to supporting Network Rail in the efficiency challenges it faces throughout the current control period and beyond.
But what makes Amey special is not only its use of technology, its innovation or its ability to provide ‘more for less.’ It’s the team.
“At Amey, people are our greatest asset and we believe that helping talented candidates to fulfill their potential is key to our success,” says Steve Withers, managing director of Amey’s inter urban division.
“For this reason, we are delighted to support the Rail Engineer of the Year award, which recognises the hard work and skill of thousands of railway engineers. Celebrating their achievements helps to encourage more people to pursue careers in railway engineering which is vital for future success.”
Says Tom O’Connor, managing director of the Rail Media Group, which organises the RailStaff Awards, ‘We are delighted to welcome Amey to the RailStaff Awards. Good work by Amey underpins many of the main achievements of the rail industry.’
