The RailStaff Awards 2024

Nominations for Rail Manager of the Year

Daniel Maguire

Said the following about Trevor Armitage:

“I am nominating Trevor as I feel he is the hardest working person I’ve met on the railway. Trevor has had to pick up another managers workload, for the best part of a year he’s effectively worked two peoples jobs which means he is on call two weeks out five. He is always on the end of the phone if you have a problem he’s very helpful and cannot do enough for his staff. He is a credit to northern rail. But most of all a nice guy.“

Martin Rollinson

Said the following about Trevor Armitage:

“What can I say about Trevor? First class guy always ready to roll his sleeves up to help the front line staff leading from the front trying his best for us all. Trevor is only a phone call away and for the best advice about any problems. I never feel uncomfortable calling him for anything as I know he will do his best to achieve the results we need to run a better station and service for customers. Since Trevor became my area manager I've found him open approachable and above all else honest and hardworking, never shy to take on a challenge or give us one to become better at doing what we do daily. He's all for staff bettering themselves to a higher standard and will guide them to courses to achieve this. A Top bloke who cares for his staff's wellbeing and health.“

Albert Mcdonald

Said the following about Trevor Armitage:

“I’m nominating Trevor [Trev] for this award simply because he is approachable he treats you with respect. If you have a problem or issue he will do his utmost to help or sort it for you. He makes it quite clear to staff that he is available 24/7 and he deals with his work professionally and always with a smile. Our company is very lucky to have such a great guy on our management team“
