“Peter Eaton, is quite honestly one of the best Overhead Line Engineers I have ever worked with. In my time as Project Manager for the Network Rail OCR Team and before that as Senior Construction manager for Network Rail IP, Pete set standards that others within the OLE field would do well to emulate. His attention to detail and commitment is first class and he has acquired the nick name of "5mm Pete". He was primarily the reason, from and Engineering and construction perspective, why we was able to able to implement and deliver the innovative Coasting model on the Great Eastern Mainline, where we delivered inside line wire runs while the adjacent line remained open but electrically dead, as trains coasted.
