Said the following about Owen Main - **HAS LEFT**:

“Owen joined HSEQ Team in October 2017. He transferred from admin where he undertaking his apprentice. Having dealt with Owen in his admin capacity I could see potential in him for further development. Owen didn’t have any previous experience in the safety field however was very eager to learn the ropes. Very soon after joining HSEQ Team, Owen was given the opportunity to complete IOSH Managing Safety course and he passed it with flying colours. Not only that, he began to apply knowledge gained during the course in his daily activities. Within last 12 months Owen has contributed significantly to the company safety culture improvement. He was key member of the team designing and delivering safety themed campaigns including: road safety and fatigue management. Owen also volunteered to deliver company H&S induction even though it wasn’t part of his role. He redesigned the format of the induction process to make it more friendly, understandable and effective. He actively promotes DRS process for reporting accidents, incidents and near misses – which shows in our reporting so his work is making a positive change. Owen always thinks of new ways of promoting safety within company.

Owen also plays instrumental role in the development and introduction of company-wide HSEQ newsletter. Overall his commitment to improve safety culture within DRS is tremendous and effects are clearly visible.“
