“I am making my case for Jamie Good as it was a travesty of justice as to why Jamie Good was not collecting some form of accolade at last year’s awards!!
Jamie Good is a full time roster clerk based at Tonbridge railway station he looks after over 200 members of staff on a weekly basis, day & night. Jamie goes about his work with the up most effort and diligence and always delivers results! His effort and execution of keeping over 200 members of staff happy is a masterful working victory in itself! Jamie has a thoughtful & flexible approach to all the members off staff he looks after, and his help & support is a massive benefit to us all to helping staff arrange annual leave or emergency leave at very short notice.
Jamie has great leadership quality which he shares & helps to inspire other members of staff to be more passionate & try to exceed the customers’ expectations.
Lastly, Jamie is an exceptional, passionate and engaging Roster clerk who is role model to us all and is greatly admired for his courageous outstanding raw talent and always delivers the results week in week out with pure distinction!!“
“Jamie is an outstanding roster clerk who always tries to help the staff in all matters even though he is only on a secondment at present. On his days off if there is a shift that he cannot cover he is always willing to cover them himself if he is able to do so. He works collaboratively with the staff at all the areas he works in.“
“Jamie is a valued member of the team and is a highly skilled roster clerk. He was seconded into my department from his role as Team leader and has gone from strength to strength. He has worked hard to produce strong and safe rosters and build relationships with Staff and Managers alike.
Jamie is always praised highly because of the hard work, determination and effort he puts into his day to day role. What makes Jamie stand out is that he does not do this for just his benefit. He consistently strives to help others and is always the first to offer further support to the roster team and indeed the station teams when they are short on cover.

“Just a line to thank you for an absolutely incredible night. The night itself was really fantastic and I said to my wife, June, just let’s sit back and enjoy it: no pressure as I didn't really think that I would win! Well, as soon as 25 years were mentioned, I took one look at June, while shaking my head in disbelief. Then the marvelous rail and face shaped glittering award and a certificate as well…………………and then the (totally unexpected) cheque!. I was also extremely pleased to see David Maidment recognised. His achievement very appropriately wins the whole night for me and the standing ovation that he received was very well deserved. It was really worth being there just for that. Thanks again to all who were involved in this event (I am now drinking my coffee out of the Rail Seventeen cup at work!).”
