“Felix the cat is Huddersfield Railway Station`s senior pest controller. Although her title is pest controller, she is famously known for her charity work. Felix`s fundraising is now worldwide. Her book launch alone raised over £30,000 for Prostate cancer UK. A 5K GPS tracker raised £5,200 for children's charities. Christmas baubles £3,700 donations to Dementia, Calendars raised over £3,000 to the Samaritans help line.
Gifts of treats, toys & even cash has been donated by the thousands of followers. All of which she passes on to her feline friends at Cat rescues & the RSPCA.
Felix has created a global fundraising frenzy, with a following of 130,064 on Facebook. Visitors come worldwide bearing gifts & it’s wonderful to see.
The future is looking very profitable with the launch of a second book, Christmas cards & a new assistant. 6 week old kitten Bolt has arrived. This young cadet will of cause be continuing to help fund raise.
Felix puts a smile on everyone's face. It is an honour to have her in my work place. She deserves recognition for the amazing amount of money she generates.“
