“The Class 385 Engineering Support team at Craigentinny depot have been seconded to Hitachi Rail Europe from LNER for the past year. During this time they have provided an outstanding service to the project team often going above and beyond in order to service the projects needs whilst also carrying out their regular daily duties for fleet support.
I have nominated this team, comprised of Alasdair McPherson, Stuart Ogston, John McQuillian and Aidan Christie as they have gone above and beyond their daily duties in order to contribute towards the delivery of the class 385 project.“
“Currently Hitachi Rail Europe (HRE) are building Cl385 trains for Abellio Scotrail (ASR). The trains being delivered to Scotland are currently being maintained by LNER at Craigentinny Depot. LNER have created a Technical Support Team to support this project. A team of 4 LNER Engineers provide 24/7 support to the depot, HRE & ASR. All of the team are ex depot apprentices who have shown over and beyond commitment to this project. Without the support from these individuals, the introduction of this fleet of trains to ASR would not have been possible.“
