Young Rail Professionals was founded in 2009 and brings together young people from across the railway industry, covering all aspects of the industry from engineering to asset management, train operations, strategic planning, rolling stock design, maintenance, franchising, regulation and marketing.
For people starting out in their careers, Young Rail Professionals provides a wealth of networking and professional development opportunities. Students and undergraduates are welcome, too. For people in education, Young Rail Professionals runs a Rail Ambassadors programme that sees YRP members visiting schools, colleges and universities to attract the next generation to this dynamic industry.
Events include everything from regional depot visits and talks, to black tie dinners, regional get-togethers, and seminars.
Young Rail Professionals has over 2,700 members and membership is free (simply register on YRP’s website). Young Rail Professionals is a not-for-profit Company Limited by Guarantee and is run by a committee of young volunteers from within the rail industry.

I have really been grateful for your backing and have been heavily supported by everyone at Rail-Media during my first year of trading and this topped it off.
